The Alborz Award, one of Iran’s most esteemed national honors, is annually presented to the country’s top scientific talents. This year, the award was once again granted to a student from the University of Tehran, underscoring the institution’s continued excellence in academic and research achievements. In an interview with the University of Tehran’s media network, the award recipient reflected on the challenges of his academic journey. He noted that one of the most significant difficulties was managing the demands of doctoral studies while simultaneously navigating personal and professional responsibilities.

Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghoddousi Nejad, a doctoral candidate in Systems and Energy Engineering at the University of Tehran, has been awarded the distinguished Alborz Award. He has also been recognized as the university’s Outstanding International Student, further highlighting his academic excellence and global impact.


Academic Distinctions of Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghoddousi Nejad:

  • Achieved first rank among all PhD students at the University of Tehran.
  • Recognized by the National Elites Foundation for exceptional academic excellence.
  • Honored with a Certificate of Appreciation at the BRICS Youth Energy Summit in Moscow.
  • Contributed five chapters to scholarly books and translated two academic volumes.
  • Authored more than 15 peer-reviewed articles published in high-impact national and international journals.
  • Recipient of the 2025 Alborz Award (1404), one of Iran’s most prestigious honors in science and academia.
